So these past two weeks, I’ve been really disappointed in myself that I haven’t really been working out that much. I’ve walked a lot and even jumped on the elliptical a couple times, and ran once, but that is about it. Hence the reason why I haven’t updated the Holiday Bootie Buster in a while. These last two weeks just have been too too busy! I did end up doing a month straight of the challenge, which I’m proud of. So all in all it was a great time; I will have a complete review up soon. After thinking about my non-workoutness I have made a commitment to myself to start fresh tomorrow (so cliche right?) and get super serious about my goals! Look out for my post tomorrow about my 2013 goals
One thing I am proud of is my move forward in Flexitarianism. I’ve been eating semi vegetarian for about 2 weeks now and in that time I’ve only had meat 3 times and fish 5 times, that means 34 meals were vegetarian! I’ve actually found it pretty easy to cut meat out of my meals. I’ve been cooking a lot with beans and tofu to substitute for meat. When I go out its the hardest, but these were mainly the times I ate the fish, and a couple times I’ve done the veggie option (like a bean burger the other day). I actually don’t miss the taste, but I’m sure it will come soon. This weekend I finished reading The Flexitarian Diet and Crazy, Sexy, Kitchen (a vegetarian recipe book) and I’ve made a meal plan and got all my supplies (mostly from Trader Joes since they have great prices on healthy foods!); I’m ready to do more with this and hopefully create a lifestyle.
In other news, I’m super excited to let you all know about the Maxflow Sports Cross-Grip Hairbands. As a runner with a lot of naturally semi-curly hair, its hard to work out and my hair not get in my way! I’ve wanted to try out a sports headband but I didn’t know where to find a good one. So I was excited to learn about this awesome hairband that is meant for workouts. I have worn it a couple times since I received it and both times I loved it because it kept the tiny strands out of my face and I didn’t constantly have to think about my hair. You can see the difference in the picture below.
The cool thing about this hairband is that it has the cross-grip rubber that keeps the headband in place and doesn’t move around while you are.
Another great thing is that it’s thin and not bulky, like other headbands, so its even more comfortable. I like this because I can’t really feel it on my head when I wear it, yet it does the job.
If you are looking for a great workout hairband I recommend this one. The best part…its only $9.99 which is so worth it!
Disclaimer: Maxflow Sports provided me with the hairband to use for my review; however, no additional compensation was given. The thoughts above are my own and are in no way influenced by the company.

This hairband is unlike anything that’s come before.
Great company who stands behind its products.
