Man was it just me or did the last two weeks FLY by. I’m sad to be back to a normal schedule (minus morning runs that start back up on Monday), but at least there are only 3 days left in this work week!
New Years eve was super fun! We went to DC101′s downtown countdown again. It was a great time with great friends. We decided to go again this year because its a great deal; it includes all you can eat, all you can drink, and a concert (this year GroupLove played). I was proud of myself and skipped the meat options and just had 2 crab cakes with tons of veggies. The night consisted of dancing, counting down to midnight with balloons dropping all around us, and all our friends staying until the lights came on at 2am just dancing together. I was smart and cut out the drinking after midnight, so yesterday I woke up and felt fine. To end the night we had the luckiest cab ride! After walking for 5-10 minutes someone just gets out of the cab right in front of us so we could hop in, AND the people next to us also trying to get a cab ended up living in the building next door, so we got to split it and only pay $10, it was pretty awesome!
Yesterday was nice and relaxing. We woke up kinda late since we didn’t get back until about 3am. We spent the day just hanging out. Half way through the day Chris and I headed downstairs to the gym and got a workout in. Chris is back to working out with me after his stressful semester, its one of his resolutions..plus he has to start training with us for our half marathon! We ended the day by going to Don Pablo’s, surprisingly they had a veggie option that was super tasty. All in all it was a great start to the new year!
I’m proud to say day one of the new year was a complete vegetarian day, and I’ve decided to track my progress on my challenge page so I can keep track since it is a goal of mine.
I’m so happy its a new year, I just love new beginnings. How was your first day of 2013?
