Well it’s almost been a week of Best Body Bootcamp so I wanted to clue you in to what I’ve been up to (without giving up the secrets!). Since I am also training for my half marathon at the same time, I’ve had to modify the workout slightly in regards to the cardio to do running instead…but I’d rather be running than on a elliptical any day! Here is what I’ve been up to this week, and what I will be doing for tomorrow.
Monday: Started the day with a morning 3 Mile Run, then after work I did the Strength A circuit. This included doing 3 sets of 10 reps for each workout in the circuit.
Tuesday: I did 45 minutes on the elliptical change my speed and level every couple minutes to get the cardio circuit in.
Wednesday: Wednesday was another 3 mile run in the morning followed by Strength B circuit. This was a core workout, I had to modify almost all the moves because my legs weren’t feeling the real things and coming off of leg injuries I wanted to take it easy. I ended up doing a bunch of situps on my stability ball to make up fore the lack of doing the real thing.
Thursday: Thursday was just cardio so I just had my run in the morning. I was very happy with my time on this day because I finally got to my speed I was at before the Christmas holiday and our break from running. Hopefully I’ll keep it up and get faster for the half.
Friday: This morning I woke up and did 30 minutes of the elliptical at different speeds and level to get my cardio in. I’ll be doing my strength workout tonight after work!
Saturday (Planned): On this day we have a 4 mile run planned, we are meeting up at Liz’ tomorrow morning at 10 to complete it!
Goals: I’ve completed all my goals so far and I’m pretty proud of myself. Although there is still the weekend I’m confident I can keep it up! Also a third goal I want to achieve (not part of the points I get) is to wake up early every day including non-run days (except weekends). I’ve of course woke up for my run days..but Tuesday didn’t happen; but today did! I want to get into the habit, it’s part of my 2013 goals as well. I’m gonna try even harder to do the whole week next week to help create the habit.
I had a great first week! I can’t wait for next week and see how I progress!
